I think it would be a pretty safe bet to say that everybody in the United States knows who Bruce Springsteen is.

I wonder how many would know that his full name is Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen? I wonder how many people would know that Bruce was born at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch New Jersey.

And Bruce grew up in freehold New Jersey on 39 1/2 Institute Street. Let's just keep venturing guesses here of what nationality Bruce Springsteen it is. Well, he is actually Dutch, Irish, and Italian.

Springsteen’s mother actually borrowed money to buy him Kent guitar which cost $60 according to Wikipedia. 1 of his 1st bands was called the Castiles and they recorded a couple of songs at recording studio in brick Township New Jersey.

A little bit later on in the early 70s Bruce started playing at venue spots on the Jersey shore, Nashville, Richmond Virginia even had a few gigs on the West Coast in California. He had his own little following during this time.

In 1972 Springsteen formed a new band and came out with 1 of his most iconic albums Greetings from Asbury Park New Jersey. This band became known as The E Street Band.

The Boss started to regularly play at some iconic New Jersey venues including the Stone Pony in Asbury Park. The Stone Pony is arguably one of the most exemplary rock ‘n' roll bars in the entire world. And people who were lucky enough to see Bruce during those times now that he played some of his most outrageously great performances in this venue. If we can only go back in time and witness it again.

I would say that another venue that would come close as far as being iconic would be our very own Whisky a Go Go located on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood, CA.

Other notable iconic New Jersey venues include Maxwell's in Hoboken, the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, The Hard Rock Live At Etess Arena, The Boardwalk Hall Arena in Atlantic City, The Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood New Jersey, MetLife Stadium, The Wonder Bar in Asbury Park in the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank New Jersey.

There are many other iconic venues to see concerts in New Jersey but the one that stands out the most is the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel New Jersey. It is probably 1 of the most notable outdoor amphitheaters in the entire world.

There is nothing like going to show at the PNC Bank Arts Center. From pre-gaming it and drinking in the parking lot right up to going inside the venue in eating food at the stands and buying overpriced beer.

Being stoned or drunk is absolutely mandatory in this venue. And new Jerseyans surely know how to do it.

You can smell the beautiful, sweet smell of reefer in the air. And you could see people just partying on the lawn with their blankets and chairs. It is truly a one-of-a-kind venue.

Other notable venues in New Jersey include, The Stanhope House, the Prudential Center in Newark, the Red Bull Arena in Cape May, The Well Month Theater in Montclair, The Stanhope House in Stanhope New Jersey, BB&T Pavilion (formerly Susquehanna Bank Center), in Camden, Asbury Lanes in Asbury Park, The Saint in Asbury Park and the Boardwalk Hall in Asbury.
